well, sustainability or any other culture in business functions comes by enabling an integrated system based business process where sustainability aspects are well built in. ISOs came for this but one can see their conditions in the business process. Revitalise ISO based EMS, etc and work around reliable processes then only sustainability can be self sustained in organisations.

Simple strategy is to put concept of "Sustainable Business." Every business is aimed for profit. No one want to loose resources without utilization. Profit associated with multiple elements, like energy saving, material planning, strategic goals, commitment and compliance etc. Being corporate culture, one must have integrity and efforts towards sustainable business practices. Every resource is associated with profit, and individual need to utilize it consciously. In short, sustainable business, profit gaining, resource management, strategic decisions are key words in corporate cultures.

First attempt to establish sustainable development in your organization or corporation is to assess current situation. One reference to do this is ISO 14001 standard context. So by comparing the existing situation to the standards you can identify any gaps.
