How can you make a lasting impression on senior leaders in your organization?

To me this sounds a bit too hierarchical, and not all organizations and executives are like that. As an executive myself I would say what I like the most is when employees don't treat me differently than any other person i the organization. Respect, kindness and a smile works good for me.

We can create an amazing impact by the following things 1. Your confidence 2. Sense of talking 3. Giving Respect 4. Being Polite and addressing everything with a smile. 5. Response time and accuracy with work creates a major impact on leaders.

As with everyone else, offering your own unique value and insight to the leadership always helps. It is important to be seen as someone who is confident about what they do and have the enthusiasm to do more. To carry out a conversation with them, it’s also good to research and ask them a question about any current post,interest etc !

I would say that this is important - more because executives want to know that you understand their business, their dilemmas and their needs. If you understand their position, the business they are in and their issues, they will have confidence in you.

To make a lasting impression on senior leaders, focus on strong communication, proactive behavior, and delivering results. Articulate ideas effectively, show initiative, and consistently achieve high-quality outcomes. Build relationships through networking and mentorship, actively engage in key projects, and align your efforts with the organization's strategic goals to solidify a positive and lasting impression.

Response time and accuracy of your contribution is the key to make your image as a reliable source to a higher position leader.

Often times, a person who has reached the level of senior leadership is looking for a way to continue growing and being impactful. Be open with your senior leaders and seek out what their aspirations are. This will give you an understanding of what topics may be most appealing to the senior leader and what opportunities you should provide for them to continue to learn and develop.

Flattering or fawning could be a major error, since it would not just give a vague impression of a contribution, but also make a negative impression of your intention to be seen.

With my experience, to make a lasting impression on senior leaders, demonstrate a strong work ethic, consistently deliver high-quality results, and show initiative in tackling challenges. Exhibit a deep understanding of the company's goals and align your contributions accordingly. Cultivate a positive attitude, be adaptable to change, and show eagerness to learn. Develop excellent communication skills, both in articulating your ideas and in actively listening to others. Network effectively within the organization to build relationships, and always maintain professionalism and integrity in your interactions.

Executives always like a good memory person. So trying to keep up with KPIs and knowing by heart the latests numbers can make you a contact person to them. Also, is important to analyze data and not just knowing it. Trying to understand what “numbers” really means is important to show that you are interested on the business itself.
