How do you choose the best mode of transportation abroad?

To work abroad may be quite challenging deppending the city or even the country you're moving to. There are some places with lack of infrastructure and others with large variety. In case you're not moving permanently to somewhere the best option possible is to lodge into a place near your job and on the best scenario, you may go work by walk. But in case you're moving to work for a long time, such 3 months or more, it's important to check nearby locations for rental contracts, hotel partnerships for discounts and also the mobility infrastructures where you're planning to move. For example, when i moved to Sao Paulo to work on a big IT contract, i got a place for rent near the work place. I used to go work by walking everyday. ;)

Actually i'm planning three weeks of work in a place on my city. It's quite far from where i live, but i have few reliable options to go everyday. One of them is Bus service, i can use a car, and also can call for an Uber service. Due high costs with parking, fuel, insurance, maintenance and other variables, and constant communications since i'll be the IT chief manager, Off course the bus service will be cheaper, but in case i need go faster the Uber is on the go. Yet, there's other options i may consider. But as i said, i'm planning that. Planning must be aways done before anything. The more important the task, more planning is needed. It's the key for sucessful works, tasks, everything in your life.

It's worth thinking about connections, for instance a journey might be in theory quicker if you take two trains instead of one. One thing to consider is how reliable the transport is in the country. I've had some tight connections recently and it's got a bit stressful when one of my trains was a bit delayed.

One thing I quite like doing when abroad (assuming I have time and it's safe) is to walk between places instead of getting public transport or a taxi. I find it a really good way of getting a feel for a place.

It's critical to consider the location of points of interest and where you are staying while on the road as well. Whenever I look for a place to stay, for instance, I am always checking proximity to transit stations and transportation hubs, which impact my time and itineraries. Additionally, safety is an important factor in different areas, so also research any safety issues on the transit mode as well; is the train safe? What about the stations and areas around them? For persons with disabilities, also ensure accessible options before going, including station and elevator closures, so you run into as few snags as possible. Some systems like Chicago's L are very good about this, while Paris has pretty limited accessibility on the Métro.
