What are the signs of a biased source of information?

Information is imparted by many, and those consist of those who also do not have sufficient knowledge of the topic. Many times they have political and other agendas to create a bias towards a particular thing, and we humans are prone to that propaganda. Hence, it's necessary to know the source of information.

The first sign is lack of objectivity. Then it can be misinterpretation of data, lack of transparency, emotionally charged language, absence of diverse viewpoints, polarising language etc. In the end it can be conspiracy theories, quoting undocumented sources with only one point of view...

I think it is important to understand the difference of opinion and information and opinion formed on information. Once you are able to disintegrate and look at these 2 separately and it’s source, you would be able to make a better judgement.

Additionally, in today’s technology powered era of information disbursement the onus lies on the reader as well to determine the veracity of the information. Biased articles or content often present opinions as facts. They would play on human emotions or would either highly exaggerate or diminish a certain angle. The language often tends to give away when it is telling the reader what to think or feel, rather then presenting a neutral view and letting the them decide. One should always take a particularly charged content with skepticism and always fact check.

And I believe no source of information comes without it own bias though like how a tittle makes you bias toward the subject and you look for support to justify those claim from the title and make connection toward it.
