Well, the cloud stores I use are either Google Drive or MEGA or I zip them up and send them on Telegram. Google Drive gives up to 15GB of storage, MEGA up to 20GB and Telegram has a limit of 2GB per file.

Apesar se existir diversos métodos de armazenamento em nuvem por diferentes provedores, a grande maioria deles permite apenas isso, armazenar, não existindo uma gestão e governança sobre essas informações/modelos, criando arquivos duplicados em diferentes pastas ou ainda um controle ineficiente de revisões e versões. Este fato gera os famosos arquivos "...v1", "...v2", "...Final", "...Final v1". Manter arquivos/modelos em contexto com um PLM adequado, garante que todos tenham uma única fonte de verdade e tenham a informação adequada e atualizada sempre.

Cloud rendering é um dos pontos que mais me chama a atenção do potencial de cad, plm e cae em nuvem. Computação em cloud pode ser definida como 1- uso de poder de processamento de terceiros 2- uso de armazenamento gerenciado e controlado por terceiro Conforme um meme antigo… “Não existe cloud, o que existe é outro pc que não vemos” Para renderização em nuvem, o que me encanta é o uso de um sistema terceirizado para processamento de imagens e vídeos… Isso eu também vejo acontecendo para simulações de cálculos numéricos. Onde não precisamos manter uma estação parada processando operações, mas contamos com um sistema de nuvem muito mais capaz que nosso hardware local

Según mi experiencia tener un respaldo en la nube es algo que siempre se tiene que tomar en cuenta, a veces puede suceder que en tu dispositivo tenga alguna falla no se guarde o se sature y cause fallas. Es importante señalar que al crear el respaldo debes ser organizado, crear carpetas o etiquetas y depurar información o archivos que no sean de utilidad pues de nada sirve tener un respaldo con información basura y desorganizado para poder encontrar de manera eficaz tus archivos

If you have the render tool in the same database, data model like your CAD data, life is easier. Any design updates can automatically been converted into a updated rendering. If this is on the cloud, much better. Then you can work on a simple machine, because the computer power is coming in the right scale from the cloud machines. I have only a few hundred Euro, simple office computer. CAD runs well on it. I tested already integrated Simulation, the same, power from the cloud. Next I will test integrated Render Studio, which is part of my Onshape Professional license.

Any ISO does not change this big risk fundamentally. Total virtualized desktop applications, running on a virtual machine, storing there and streaming to a local machine, are much safer. Virtualization is pretty expensive. Alle großen CAD/PDM/PLM Anbieter, Dassault, Siemens, Autodesk und PTC bieten für ihre traditionellen Desktop CAD Lösungen Cloud Plattformen für die Zusammenarbeit an. Gut ist, ich bin nicht mehr auf den einen Desktop Computer und mein Firmen-LAN beschränkt. Dadurch dass alle traditionellen System Datei basierend sind, bin ich nicht von der konventionellen Arbeitsweise weg. Ich muss in aller Regel, wenn ich CAD Daten bearbeiten will, diese auf einen geeigneten Rechner herunterladen. Wenn ich große Baugruppen viewen und kommentieren will, existiert ein ähnliches Problem. Das wird meist durch Konvertierung in ein schlankes Format „ gelöst“ (JT, 3DXML….). Nur einer lässt alles im Originalformat von überall, auf jedem Gerät zu: Onshape.
