In my experience, All training gives an employee the tools they require to be successful in their environment! If you include the expectations of the Safety Culture in the training, you and the employee both benefit! As I said before.... Be clear and comprehensive.

Unfortunately, many employees have learned bad habits from previous employers. this can have a dramatic effect on the overall Safety Culture and all procedures! Holding employees accountable through disciplinary measures can build strength with internal procedures and create an end result that shuns the complacency of an employees past. Be careful not to dismantle the spirit of the employee though!

Incentive based safety culture can be both good and bad! Be careful to follow OSHA guidelines when creating a program. Don't make the program work if someone hides an incident to achieve the incentive. Random drawings work if the team achieves a goal.
