However, there is rarely (as far as I know) a model that will always be 100% correct. So in case of model errors, it is somewhat logical to assume that the fault would fall back on the model and the team that dev'ed it. It is important to reassure the managers that errors happen all the time, be it human or other. And that a bad result is only an opportunity to improve upon a model, as it predicted a result based on a set of rules and not by pure magic. Concerns allow us to improve our process. You have to consider the possibility that your superiors either: -Don't know anything about machine learning -Don't care about machine learning In the first case, try to focus the implementation proposition to the practical advantages it will have. They don't care about the technology, only about what they can do with it. In the second case, they will probably want some AI. Machine learning is AI, so focus on that, and that while other new hotness like LLM (chatGPT and the such) have some issues, machine learning is robust AI that you can trust and that willl endure. If not, try the angle of "it is coding/math". Find what they want and need. If ML can provide it, show them how. Don't care too much about terminology.
