Your team is resistant to shaping the data governance framework. How can you get them engaged in the process?

In a previous role, I was part of a team tasked with implementing a data governance framework for a large e-commerce client. Initially, there was considerable resistance from the team, as they were skeptical about the benefits of data governance. To address this, we engaged the team early in the process by organizing interactive workshops. We discussed the concept of data governance and its importance, highlighting real-world scenarios where poor data governance led to significant problems, like data breaches and inaccurate reporting. We also showcased how a robust data governance framework could streamline their work, reduce errors, and lead to better decision-making.
