You're a coding beginner. How can you use new technology to improve your skills?

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and it sure wasn’t built by one person 🧍♂️. When starting your development career off, you should opt for mastering an individual skillset, rather than attempting to cover every single facet of creating a programming product. Even “Full Stack Developers” often specialize in specific areas of development. Some find beauty in the aesthetics that creating UI can bring, while some awe at the abstract architectures they can build in a backend application. Newcomers with artistic backgrounds or affinities may prefer to see a visualization of their work, while their analytical counterparts may want to just choreograph how systems talk to each other. Mastery of a single foundational subject speeds up learning. 🎓

One should start working in an area where they have interest in. One should not follow others just because they are doing it. If one is more skilled in frontend area they should focus on programming language that is associated to that area. Not necessary all framework are hard, but over the period of time you would be able to figure out one's niche area they are comfortable and interesting area they would love to grow. Start with smaller steps before you lean for running.

Today’s world is full of goods and services that stimulate our reward centers. Social media and other short forms of entertainment make it difficult for young developers to focus on a specific task for an extended period of time. Finding a passion project acts as a great motivator for improving your development skills. It helps you fight past the difficulty of the learning curve, and allows you to keep a narrow focus on your end goal. You can find passion projects all around you. Sometimes, it’s not even the project, but the process of building it, that helps you progress. Collaborative projects, or projects that help organizations or teams you form a part of, can be growth catalysts, as feedback encourages iteration.

It is true when they say two brains work better than one 🧠. Finding a partner to embark on a coding journey with you can greatly enhance the growth you can have when learning or exploring something new. A learning curve is just the time it takes for us to understand the why behind something, and for many of us, wrapping our heads around even the most basic concepts of computer science, can be challenging. Defining learning goals and implementing swimlanes can help getting over that curve. For example, one person focusing on ecosystem research, and someone else discovering about helpful design patterns. Then, gathering and reviewing your results together. Humans are social creatures, and we reach taller heights together!
