Ganz richtig. Sobald die Wassersparziele erreicht worden sind, ist es auch wichtig die Wasserleitungen wieder dimensionsgemäß zu nutzen, sonst kann es langfristig zu Ablagerungen kommen. In Zentraleuropa gibt es derzeit noch keine Wasserknappheit zumindest auf das Jahr gemittelt gesehen.

Die Regenwassernutzung ergibt Sinn in ländlichen Räumen, da hier der notwendige Platz und Bedarf für die Nutzung von Regenwasser besteht. In urbanen Räumen kann sich dies jedoch schwieriger gestalten. Die Sammlung und Lagerung müsste wahrscheinlich dezentral erfolgen, ohne eine zu große Lagerungszeit und eine einhergehende potenzielle Kontamination einzubüßen. Unbehandeltes Regenwasser sollte jedoch auf keinen Fall menschlicher Nutzung dienen, lediglich als Brauchwasser.

We need well deliberated regulatory frameworks that will prioritise the sectors in cases of such urgency. If drinking water sector is suffering then it should be priorisied and so on based on the local needs. Grundwasserleiter anzuzapfen kann zu Bodenversetzungen führen und die Entsalzung von Meerwasser ist in Zentraleuropa schlicht zu energieintensiv und somit aktuell noch zu teuer. Eine nachhaltige Verwendung des Brines ist ebenfalls noch ein heikles Thema. Die Erweiterung an Wasserquellen ist dennoch ein zentrales Thema vorallem hinsichtlich des fortschreitenden Klimawandels.

Keeping the water sources both surface and ground pollution free and judicious utilisation should be legally enforced. Wastage of water in any manner should become punishable as potable water is limited in availability and accessibility.Water security should become part of life, both family wise and community wise.

Einen Punkt den ich noch gerne hinzufügen möchte ist das übergeordnete Wassermanagement. Im Beispiel einer Talsperre ist die Bilanz ein ganz zentrales Thema. Durch Extremwetterereignisse kann die Talsperre überlaufen, aber auch trockenlaufen. Wenn durch IoTS Systeme ein holistisches Überwachungs- und Vorhersagesystem implementiert werden kann, könnte die Angebot und Nachfrage besser gemanaged werden. Im Starkregen-Szenario könnte die Talsperre in den Tagen/Wochen vorher etwas stärker entleert werden, um weiteren Stauraum für das wahrscheinlich zufließende Wasser zu bieten.
