The best way to onboard someone is to help them be successful as quickly as possible. Instead of worrying about introducing them to everyone, explaining workplace culture, blah blah blah... turn them loose on doing the thing you hired them to do, and that they have the skills to do. That proves you need them, that you value them, that results matter... Do that, and the rest takes care of itself.

There should be two main components involved with a successful onboarding strategy: making sure new hires are prepared with all of the necessary information to work within your organization and creating a positive, comfortable environment where everyone feels supported and included. The key elements of a successful onboarding program include clear communication, effective training, and ongoing support. Great onboarding processes aim to increase new hires' clarity, confidence and connectedness to help them adapt to their new position.
