First is to address the "Sub-Par" definition. You must be well versed and proficient with the trade issue before you discuss unacceptable work with the contractor. What I can put across is that ensure you have well experience workers with minimum supervision and provide the working ppe and provide enough materials to avoid saving today our materials are not there, and be open to the workers what you want and what you don't want and above all make sure you have enough tools
