Prioritizing features based on business value, impact helps a team to direct their focus on items on high importance. Having a clear conversation with stakeholders on the expectations would help. At the same time, we also need to be mindful of the technical feasibility, the unknowns and the complexity of the features as they can help us plan better and utilize resources effectively to develop them which in-turn helps to maintain code quality.

One thing I have found helpful is also the KANO model , where in we have 3 levels , expected , normal and exciting .This really helps in proirtizing the features effectively

This balanced approach allows us to develop new features without compromising code quality.

It is not uncommon to receive new feature requests during ongoing development, particularly when collaborating with multiple stakeholders. It is essential first to understand the business value and priority of these features from the stakeholders' perspective. Next, we need to assess the technical feasibility of the new feature. The best approach is to evaluate its impact on the existing architecture. Integration testing should be performed to ensure that the new features work seamlessly with the existing ones. Allocate time for code review and refactoring in your sprint planning. Additionally, conduct regression testing to ensure that the existing features remain unaffected.

Firstly, discuss with the team about the time frame of each feature and then discuss it with all the stakeholders regarding their prioritization of that feature. Based on analysis and discussions Prioritize it for the Development team making sure that it will not be changed at least in the same sprint. Clear communication, timely review its progress and quality standards will play key factor during this phase of product.

Aunque una tarea titánica, considero que un conocimiento fuerte de todos los componentes involucrados nos permitirá tener una buena planificación y buenas prácticas durante todo el ciclo de desarrollo lo que nos permitirá desarrollar soluciones agiles y a medida implementando patrones de arquitectura y diseño así como un set de pruebas a nivel unitario, API o desde la interfaz de usuario dependiendo de las necesidades del proyecto. Todo esto debe ser definido y documentado para poder tener un proceso de calidad definido y el cuál debe ser ejecutada por los desarrolladores y QAs o en su defecto modificada y revisada cada vez que sea necesario hacer ajustes para que sea facil de entender e implementar

A set of patterns that work for the team and the system is crucial. Patterns should be tried, evaluated and eventually established as standards, with the right documentation, any member of any team will be able to implement it and benefit from it.

The best way to 'reduce' tech debt is not creating it in the first place. Leaving minor details for later will sooner than later become tech debt hence understanding and applying the broken windows principles is crucial to prevent tech debt.

Incorporating technical obsolescence into feature prioritization helps anticipate technological changes, ensuring optimal resource allocation and increased durability of the developed code.

Not only code quality but to keep the framework updated with latest versions is also critical for automation scripts to be compatible with the upgrades in the development code itself. This should be the major item in the bucket list for tech debt grooming.

Hoy en día las pruebas automatizadas son parte esencial de cualquier desarrollo ya que nos permiten hacer detección temprana durante el despliegue o publicación de cambios en los diferentes ambientes que tenga el equipo de desarrollo ya sea desde hacer pruebas unitarias, al igual que de APIs o servicios web y desde la interfaz de usuario.
