Here are five steps to follow to implement change control effectively in a project: Define the scope of change. Evaluate the impact of potential change. Submit a formal change request to higher-level management. Adjust project plans. Communicate and implement the approved change request.

Use ADKAR as a methodology of change management, and you will asure more efficiently change culture. That’s my opinion using this methodology for different companies and different cultures.

Change happens within change. It's a mistake to assume the world pauses for our projects; external dynamics continue to evolve. The ICASEMUS model offers a framework for navigating this volatility. The first step, "I" for Identification, emphasizes staying alert to shifts in the external environment while executing initiatives. This awareness helps leaders anticipate challenges and reframe setbacks as opportunities. Long-term success isn't about avoiding obstacles—it's about achieving goals by adapting, learning, and staying resilient through change.

1. Lead Alongside the Team: Get out of the corner office and work shoulder-to-shoulder with your team. Show you’re invested in the process by actively engaging and collaborating. 2. Check the Mood: Regularly ask for feedback to understand how people are feeling. This helps address concerns early and keeps everyone aligned. 3. Lead by Example: Be ready to roll up your sleeves—whether it’s drafting the first version of a document or delivering the initial pitch. It sets the tone for collaboration and ownership.

Though I like using various frameworks to manage the change, the key to long term Success is effective management of the softer or intangible components of the Change. Have found the following approach helpful : 1. Create a Shared Need 2. Agree on where we are and where we want to be 3. Co-create the path to the goal and let the relevant team "Own" the result AND the Credit. This will ensure that the change is sustained after the change moves out of the Project phase.
