I usually follow these practices in such senario :
Schedule a Candid Conversation: Engage in a one-on-one discussion to explore their career goals, concerns, and satisfaction. Show genuine interest in their growth.
Offer Development Opportunities: Provide clear pathways for advancement, such as leadership roles, new projects, or professional development programs that align with their aspirations.
Enhance Recognition and Rewards: Acknowledge their contributions with tailored incentives, whether financial or non-monetary, that resonate with their needs.
Strengthen Workplace Culture: Address any team or cultural issues that may be causing dissatisfaction to ensure they feel valued and connected.

In my experience, offer a coffee catch up or a special session to check in on how they are feeling at the organization and on the team.
In many instances, this employee may feel uncomfortable opening up in a group setting so try an informal one. Go over their goals and their career path at the firm. Reaffirm their interest in the role and see if a special project will motivate them to stay. Ultimately most employees want to be recognized for the work they do. So remember to recognize them publicly and offer highly visible projects to encourage them to feel valued on the team.
