If I was building out a marketing strategy from scratch I would set out all of my main goals. I would then break those down into clear SMART objectives, and clarify how I am going to measure them (i.e. what are the KPIs). Some goals are a lot easier to measure than others, too. E.g. brand awareness activities are notoriously tricky to quantify vs pure conversion driving activations. I would then be looking at each goal and working out WHO I need to get my brand in front of and WHERE I will find these people! This will inform the platforms and channels you'll need to use.

Most importantly, please learn how to write and record good content. Again, you are the business and you should know what perks up your paying customers. Write, record, post and socialize.

I think ensuring success may be a very high bar (and expectation). Instead, I suggest always having a nimble and flexible experimentation approach to all digital marketing campaigns. By being able to create tests and proof-of-concepts you can quickly test and pivot your approach as needed (while also learning what works best - and what does not - in the process).

Most marketing campaigns fail for one or more of four reasons: 1. Poor targeting. 2. Poor understanding of targeting audience. 3. Poor presentation (i.e., poor creative/copy). 4. Insufficient promotion (i.e., you've got to spend money to make money). Get these right and your odds will be good.
