You’re on a tight budget and need to communicate with colleagues. How can you do it effectively?

3 tools in my last 3 organisations I’ve used to communicate effectively between colleagues in the UK, US & Asia. 1. Google Workspace - Gmail, Drive & Hangouts provides simplicity to share docs whilst communicating face to face on video or to ping a quick message on a chat. Also to summarise in group emails. 2. Zoom - an alternative for group video calls and chats to quickly gather colleagues around the global. 3. Whatsapp - One of the most effective FREE tools that offers calls, messaging, group chats and video calls. This can also be upgraded to a paid version. Ultimately, it’s critical to know why & want you want to communicate and effective communication cannot be practised enough - this is a key ingredient to success!

Take the time to communicate your message concisely. Get straight to the point and address the recipient through the appropriate tone and channel. Keep everything in an organized manner and proofread your messages before sending them out. Reading your message out loud to yourself is a great way to check if it sounds correct and can be understood by the recipient.
