Award recipient(s) update!💞 What a phenomenal partnership! The Hope Center at Pullen was the very first #nonprofit that the Raleigh chapter of Women Who Give a Hoot donated to in March 2016, gifting $11,900 in our hour-long meeting. Over five years later, we met the fabulous folks of CASA NC in our combined Q3/Q4 2021 meeting and that evening, we donated $24,000 in support of CASA's mission. Here we are close to 4 years later -- How exciting is it to see these two organizations come together to support 8 young adults aging out of foster care, providing them with housing and RA support?! 🦉💞 For those new to these two amazing local nonprofits: ✨The Hope Center at Pullen empowers emerging adults who are transitioning out of foster care in Wake County with the support and connections needed for a safe and stable adulthood. ✨CASA provides access to stable, affordable housing for people who are homeless or at risk by developing and managing rental communities. #makeadifference #giveahoot #community #fostercare #affordablehousing #communitysupport #thepowerofgiving #collaboration

Let us tell you Owl About Last Night. It was nothing short of incredible, truly. We had a HUGE crowd in attendance as we joined forces and donations with 100 Men Who Give A Damn - Triangle Chapter to give big. We dare say the nonprofits last night gave us big feelings. We heard from the following nonprofits: • Converting Hearts Ministries who rescues men from addiction for life, taking men out of the chaos and into recovery and restoring life outside the program. • Pretty In Pink Foundation who provides uninsured and under-insured breast cancer patients in North Carolina with financial assistance for quality, life-saving medical treatment • Wake Monarch Academy who provides a recovery-based environment for students to successfully pursue academic, personal, and professional goals. They don’t just envision young people in recovery living substance-free, connected, and meaningful lives, they help make it happen. We voted and Wake Monarch Academy received our combined donation (men are still taking in donations so the official total is to come) of $26,000+ We adopted the Men’s process for donations and donated to the runners up last night, too! So, between our Runner Up donations and the split of funds, both Runners Up will receive $5,500+ from our two groups combined. We welcomed Hope Connection International, a multi-faceted recovery and prevention center empowering survivors of abuse and addiction who told us about the impact of the Men’s donation last quarter. Family Promise of the Triangle came back to share about how our $17,000+ donation last quarter helps them accomplish their vision to end homelessness in the Triangle. Watch their video! Big thanks to our Corporate Sponsor Coastal Credit Union for reminding us that what we are doing is ‘investing in lives’. We’re also grateful for their support for our runners up along with Hale Family Real Estate. A huge shout out to our Chapter Diamond Sponsors, Beau Monde Salon Suites and BubblyandBrew.
