Great article about our Co-Director of Music and Senior Talent Buyer Brent Heyl and his dreaming up the upcoming two-day music fest at Salt Shed, Warm Love Cool Dreams. Ideated during the pandemic, the theme is derived from a line in Nelson Algren’s “The Man with the Golden Arm.” The first day, “Warm Love,” features a lineup of musical acts that would be more intense, “spicier” and “fiery,” with headliner The Jesus Lizard. The second day, “Cool Dreams,” will be a “more mellow, kind of laying in the cut”, featuring headliner Kelela’s smooth-as-silk rhythmically intricate R&B reinvention. Yesterday we held our annual All Staff Town Hall and summer hangout at The Salt Shed's lobby and fairgrounds. It's always great to see staff and leaders from all our properties gather together. Managing Partner Bruce Finkelman shared some of the new rally cry we are developing to cascade to staff and updates on new projects we have in the works. We held a panel of some of our 'Rockstars', folks who are doing great things from across the various verticals we execute - Talent Buying, Venue Management, Food & Beverage Service, and Brand Marketing & Sponsorship. Last week Empty Bottle Presents hosted the World's Largest Outdoor Karaoke night at the Salt Shed, and wow, what a night!
