Gregory Hardiman, Partner at 17Capital recently spoke to Institutional Investor about financing the business of private equity and how financing private equity firms generates attractive risk-adjusted returns. 'We offer non-dilutive, non-permanent financing for PE firms, principally to augment reinvestment in their funds and expand their overall platforms. By doing so, the general partners have greater “skin in the game”, which furthers their alignment with the fund’s limited partners and enhances potential returns for the manager.” Read the full article here: https://hubs.li/Q02VZTnn0 #PrivateCredit #NAVfinance #GPfinancing

Earlier this week we held our latest Family Office Networking Event in London. It was great to see familiar faces and discuss key themes we are seeing in the NAV finance market.   Some key takeaways from the discussion were:   ➡️ There is continued growth in the NAV finance market with 17Capital seeing deal flow volumes of over $50bn year to date.   ➡️ The adoption rate of NAV finance (and its visibility to LPs) has increased exponentially. We estimate that 40%+ of the largest 100 buyout firms have now executed a NAV finance transaction. ➡️ NAV finance is a tool for value creation that enable funds to deploy more and supports GPs to raise capital for strategic initiatives and make larger GP fund commitments.     ➡️ We at 17Capital are positioned as the go-to NAV finance provider for managers and investors. Relationships built over the past 17 years allow our clients access to the most attractive opportunities with the best performing managers in the industry. Thank you to all those that attended. We look forward to seeing you again soon. 🙏🏻 🥳 #NAVfinance #privatecredit #17Capital

Last Thursday the team had an early start to volunteer at New Spitalfields Market with City Harvest London where they sorted surplus food from the market, which would have otherwise gone to waste, into 14 pallets —equivalent to 490 individual crates! These crates were then distributed to soup kitchens, refugee camps, school kids breakfast clubs, domestic abuse shelters and more with City Harvest London supporting more than 375 organisations across London! It was a privilege to join Epic Foundation and Cambon Partners for an inspiring conversation on “Purpose is the New Currency: You Don’t Have to Leave Your Job to Make the World a Better Place,” alongside Bimpe Nkontchou, Founder & Managing Principal of W8 Advisory, and Morgann Lesné, Partner at Cambon Partners. At 17Capital, we believe that financial success and social impact can go hand in hand. I had the chance to share how we are putting this belief into practice through meaningful initiatives and a strong partnership with Epic Foundation, which has become an integral part of our journey to making a positive difference. Here are just a few examples of the incredible work our team has championed: ➡ Think Forward: Our team has been a proud supporter of this business mentoring program for the past four years, empowering young people to unlock their potential and achieve their career goals. ➡ City Harvest: Through volunteering, our colleagues help reduce food waste and provide nutritious meals to vulnerable communities, making a tangible impact on people’s lives. ➡ Earth Cubs: We sponsor this creative social enterprise, which educates primary school children about the importance of protecting our planet and its wildlife. Last year alone, our team devoted 174 hours to community initiatives and supported over 20 charities, combining hands-on volunteering with financial support, including our employee gift-matching program. 🙏 To the entire 17Capital team: Thank you for your passion, dedication, and commitment to making a difference. Your efforts remind me every day that we have the power to use our skills and resources to create real, lasting change ! A special thanks to Myriam Vander Elst and Louise Tourre for making this event possible and for creating a platform where purpose and business come together to drive meaningful #impact.
