The Air Force Sustainment Center Software Directorate was established in June 2023. The Software Directorate consists of over 5,500 software professionals supporting software-intensive weapon systems across three Software Engineering Groups located at Hill AFB, Robins AFB, and Tinker AFB, along with many operating locations throughout the country. The civilian professionals of the Software Directorate provide the backbone of the organization, consisting of a diverse array of software engineering experts, including system, software, aerospace, mechanical, and electronics engineers, computer scientists, cyber security, and other technical specialists.
