The praise for the L&D Maturity Model keeps rolling in… It’s almost like that David James guy knows what he’s talking about 😂 On a serious note, thank you to everyone who’s explored, self-assessed, downloaded, tagged colleagues, and shared notes of enthusiasm and gratitude. When we set out to create this maturity model with David, we tried to thread a needle between robust and nimble—we knew it had to be all-encompassing, but we also knew it had to be concise in order to make it actionable for busy L&D pros. The last thing we wanted to produce was the content equivalent of shelfware. We wanted to make something that was easy to adopt, easy to pick up and refer to, something you could reliably use day in, day out. Which is why it took us nearly a year to complete. From all of the upfront work to the execution, every theme, word, and KPI were scrutinized. For those who have checked it out and downloaded, we hope you continue to find it valuable in your discussions with your team, your planning with company leadership, and your career journey. And for those who haven’t checked it out yet… Maybe this is a sign it’s time to… Discover the L&D Maturity Model: https://lnkd.in/esBqF5UM

What a day in London 🇬🇧 L&D Next Live in London was an incredible experience—packed with insights, inspiration, and the energy of community. We heard from industry leaders (Hi David James and Donald H Taylor 👋) and experts who shared their best strategies for building high-impact learning cultures and driving real change in L&D. Every session was an opportunity to challenge the status quo, learn new approaches, and get excited about the future of learning. But the best part was meeting so many of you in person—hearing your stories, sharing ideas, and feeling the energy of a community all driving L&D forward. That’s the magic of these events: connecting, learning, and growing together. If you weren’t there, trust us—you won’t want to miss next time. Thanks again to everyone who joined, we can’t wait to do it all again next year 💚

Thursday, April 3rd at 11am EST / 3pm GMT This isn’t just another webinar. It’s your chance to be in the (virtual) room for a conversation that’s shaping the future of L&D.

Does the perfect L&D team structure exist? The clear answer is no—every organization has its own context, challenges, and nuances to contend with. But many L&D leaders still stick to what’s worked in the past. They port their own history onto a new team environment, or copy “best practices” to get through organizational change. David James recently spoke with three L&D experts in L&D change management. Lisa Christensen - McKinsey & Company, Hillary M. - HCA Healthcare, and Christopher Lind - Christopher Lind Co. as they shared stories from decades of combined experience in the field. The key takeaways: - Both centralized and decentralized L&D have pros and cons - Aligning to core business objectives is crucial - Be “anti-rigid,” and remain as flexible as possible - It’s all about people and relationships - Stay humble, and learn as much as you can about your new team #LearningAndDevelopment #TeamStructures #OrganizationalChange
