Meet Cimone Jefferson: 3DE Graduate of Norcross High School Cimone Jefferson, a Georgia Southern University graduate and current master’s candidate in Luxury Brand Management at SCAD, is an alumna of the inaugural 3DE cohort at Norcross High School. 🎓 Reflecting on her experience, Cimone credits 3DE with opening doors she hadn’t considered before. “Junior Achievement and 3DE gave me so much exposure to companies,” she says. During college, internships with the Atlanta Hawks and JPMorganChase provided her with hands-on experience in diverse fields—opportunities she first discovered through 3DE. “I had exposure to both organizations in high school, which helped me establish my network early on.” The skills Cimone gained through 3DE continue to benefit her today. “Out of all my years of schooling, 3DE has been the most #impactful and #memorable educational experience. There are so many moments in my adult life where I realize the first time I learned something was in a 3DE classroom." Looking back, Cimone recalls the sense of #community that shaped her high school experience. “In 3DE, you’re in a cohort where you’re trying new things, getting exposed to so many ideas, and dreaming big together.” The supportive environment left a lasting impression: “It was always fun, we were always heard, and the structure felt a lot like the #realworld.” To students considering 3DE, Cimone encourages them to take the leap, emphasizing “3DE supports students no matter their plans after high school—whether they want to be entrepreneurs or even choose not to attend college. It prepares you for life, regardless of the path you take.” Junior Achievement USA Junior Achievement of Georgia #WorkforceReadiness #AlumniSpotlight

🌟 Shaping the Future, One Mindset at a Time  🌟 At 3DE, we believe that the right #mindset is the cornerstone of success. That's why we're proud to prepare our students with the Shape Your Mindset Series by Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx—and now Sneex. This series is designed to equip students with the tools they need to navigate challenges, embrace their authentic selves, and pursue their dreams with confidence.     The Mindset series, which now reaches over 15,000 students across 60 schools, instills four core tenets: #Authenticity, #Confidence, #Curiosity, and #Determination. These tenets aren't just taught—they're practiced and revisited year after year, building a strong foundation for lifelong growth. Students learn to take on challenges, value progress, and see every failure as a step closer to success.      This year, as Sara Blakely launches her new brand Sneex, she exemplifies the lessons of our Mindset Series. From trusting her gut and embracing failure to staying true to her purpose, Sara embodies the #entrepreneurial and #resilient mindset we teach our students. In 9th Grade, they discover their purpose like Sara did with Sneex—a product that brings her joy and fulfills a need. By 11th Grade, they’re practicing how to trust their gut—just as Sara listened to her intuition to develop her innovative hybrid stiletto. And throughout their four years, our students learn to reframe failure, embracing it as a steppingstone to success, just as Sara did during the challenging nine-year journey of creating  Sneex.     At 3DE, we’re not just preparing students for high school—we’re preparing them for life. The Mindset Series sets the tone for a year of personal growth, empowering students to take ownership of their learning and view their teachers as partners in achieving their goals.     Thank you, Sara, for inspiring our students to dream big, take risks, and stay determined. We’re excited to see where this mindset will take them—and you—next!  #MindsetDevelopment #TransformingEducation #WorkforceReadiness

The final showdown, held on April 11, 2024, saw the top four teams—Olathe East (Kansas), Ocoee (Florida), Northview (Georgia) and our champions, North Side (Indiana) — compete live in front of a panel of esteemed judges from Arby's. A heartfelt thank you to our judges for their invaluable insights and guidance throughout the competition: JoAnn Reilly, Jill Bussa, Chad Zeitz, Michael Willocks. Congratulations to West Forsyth High School for winning the 2024 The Home Depot National Case Competition! In this year's competition, students from 35 schools across the nation were challenged to create an innovative shopping experience for DIYers, showcasing one of The Home Depot's best-selling departments. Acting as members of The Home Depot Innovation team, they employed the Design Thinking Model to develop their ideas and foster creativity and innovation. After multiple rounds of judging, the final four teams were selected to compete live on March 7. Our #champions, West Forsyth High School from Cumming, Georgia, impressed the audience with their renter-focused solution. They recommended The Home Depot add a display of specifically renter-friendly items like peel and stick flooring, backsplashes and wallpaper. Additionally, they proposed promoting the "renters refuge" via social media collaborations with DIYers. Teresa Roseborough, representing The Home Depot as a judge, shared that the judges "were surprised we're not doing this in our stores right now." She appreciated how they identified a new customer base for Home Depot and thanked them for their work and thoughtfulness, expressing excitement about potentially implementing some aspects of their project in stores in the future. A big shoutout to all the finalists—Dunedin HS, Northview HS, and Snider HS—for their outstanding performances and commendable efforts throughout the competition. Special thanks to the expert judges from The Home Depot— Teresa Roseborough, Tim Wilkerson, Brad Seitel, and Lee Hendrickson, for their invaluable contributions and support. For those who missed the excitement, you can catch the full event here: https://lnkd.in/e-5MYRiM Join me in congratulating the West Forsyth team—Charlotte Condra, Katherine Condra, Lilly Dunn, Maggie Rhody, and Evelyn Siok- on their well-deserved victory! Transformative Education: 3DE Paving the Way for Workforce Readiness In a world that's evolving at an unprecedented pace, preparing students for the workforce requires more than just traditional classroom education. Recognizing this need, 3DE has emerged as a transformative force, providing students with a forward-thinking approach to education. As a key partner of 3DE, Inspire Brands places an emphasis on career readiness. The recent SPARK 2023 event, hosted by Inspire Brands CEO Paul Brown and GRAMMY-winning artist Ludacris, underscored the significance of instilling critical job skills in the next generation. The highlight was Inspire Brands' announcement of a one-million-dollar commitment to support 30+ nonprofit organizations, including 3DE, dedicated to empowering youth and enhancing workforce readiness. During the #workforcereadiness panel, Paul Brown emphasized the importance of individuals who bring enthusiasm, a willingness to take extra steps, and a desire to be part of a team—qualities that transcend technical skills and are crucial for success in any role. He stated, "It's less of a skill, more of an attitude and energy, an enthusiasm." This resonates deeply with 3DE's approach, which prioritizes the development of not just technical skills but also a mindset that fosters enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative spirit. 3DE provides a comprehensive educational model that prepares students for expanded economic opportunities and choice-filled lives.  By strategically partnering with districts, 3DE facilitates access to in-demand careers, fosters school stability through robust teacher and student engagement, and cultivates a culture of inclusionary instruction and individual value. Central to 3DE's instructional approach is the development of foundational #competencies that empower students to apply and measure their mindset, skills, knowledge, and abilities in real-world scenarios. The engagement of nearly 200 organizations as 3DE case partners underscores the commitment to real-world learning, providing students with transferable behaviors that make them competitive, regardless of their chosen path after high school. The impact of 3DE's approach is evident in the statistics: 86% of 3DE students recognize the #relevance of school, compared to a mere 46% of rising 9th graders. This impressive 87% increase in student perception highlights the effectiveness of 3DE's focus on preparing students for life beyond the classroom. In conclusion, 3DE, in collaboration with partners like Inspire Brands & Arby's Foundation, are setting a new standard for education. By instilling essential skills, fostering a culture of enthusiasm and adaptability, and maintaining a commitment to real-world relevance, 3DE is preparing students to not only navigate but excel in the workforce of tomorrow.
