In 2024, 3Keys provided 477 furnished permanent supportive housing units. Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) is a long-term, affordable housing solution designed for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, often combined with disabilities or other significant barriers to stability. PSH includes: 🔑 Affordable, long-term housing – Residents have their own apartments with no time limits on their stay. 🔑 Support services – Case management, mental health support, substance use treatment, and job assistance to help residents maintain stability. 🔑 Housing First approach – Prioritizing stable housing as a foundation for improving health, employment, and overall well-being. PSH is proven to reduce homelessness, improve quality of life, and lower public costs related to emergency services. In 2024, 3Keys offered over 30 activities to residents at our six properties throughout the year. 3Keys meets people where they are and accepts them for who they are. Our work is rooted in the Housing First movement, an evidence-based approach focused on ending homelessness as quickly as possible by providing permanent housing, and then providing wrap around supportive services. We recognize the important work of so many during the civil rights movement in the fight for equal housing. During Black History Month, we celebrate the achievements of two leaders, Dorothy Height and Thurgood Marshall, and their impact on housing policy and civil rights. Thurgood Marshall fought discriminatory housing laws in the courts, challenging racial covenants that barred Black families from homeownership. His legal victories helped lay the groundwork for fair housing laws and the eventual passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968. Dorothy Height was a tireless advocate for affordable housing and economic justice. She pushed for policies that addressed housing discrimination and uplifted Black families, ensuring that fair housing was part of the broader civil rights movement. As a key leader, she worked to bridge the gap between racial and gender justice in housing and economic opportunities. During a virtual check presentation, Delta Community awarded $37,500 in grants from our 2025 Philanthropic Fund to four deserving organizations: East Lake Foundation, Operation HOPE, Inc., Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. and 3Keys, Inc. Congratulations!
