Discovery Education This year's final presentations will be even more exciting with Maynard Okereke, the honorary judge for last year's challenge and also our ambassador for the 3M #YoungScientist Challenge, co-hosting the final presentations!

Day 4 at #ClimateWeekNYC has been a reminder that #sustainability #innovations can represent substantial business opportunities and even build a new #DecarbonizationEconomy. With trillions of dollars being invested in climate-related R&D and #materials as essential enablers, this week confirmed that 3M is well-positioned to partner with customers, governments, and community leaders to make a positive impact — through innovating new products and business models. 3M has reduced our Scope 1 & 2 emissions by > 80% since 2002 and > 40% since 2019. We further expect to deliver early on our commitment to reduce 50% by 2030 on our way towards an 80% reduction by 2040. Day 2 of #ClimateWeekNYC for me has been all about technologies and especially #AI can help prioritize and accelerate our efforts to fight against sustainability challenges including #ClimateTech at some insightful sessions with World Economic Forum, WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and The Nest Climate Campus Check out the atmosphere and apologies for the background noise as I interview 3M ‘s Bill Weber behind the scenes at The Nest Climate Campus before we both took the stage to talk about #GreenJobs and the recently debuted “Green Works” film.

Day 1 of #ClimateWeekNYC was filled with insightful sessions on #water with the United Nations Water Resilience Coalition (WRC), #NetZeroStandatd development with ISO - International Organization for Standardization and General Motors , and progress on the #SustainableDevelopmentGoals with the UN Global Compact Network USA. It was fun to share the work 3M is doing on carbon footprint reduction, parterning with customers to help them reduce their carbon footprint, and introduce some of our new materials work in #ClimateTech. I’m excited about the intersection between water and AI and struck by how we’re building future improvement expectations and standards for measuring full carbon emissions and #NetPositiveWaterImpact #NPWI.
