  • I would like your opinion on this. Would you be willing to give it? The world of SEO is big & complex and can really drive you crazy. Especially if you are a 'SoloP' like me. So, my question is... ✳️ Should I blog monthly, weekly or twice per month? Currently I blog weekly, but to do this I have to move quickly and can't go as deep as I would like to best serve my subscribers. NOTE: I've also asked this question to my newsletter subscribers so I look forward to their opinions as well. 👉 Here's my thoughts that may help you make this same decision. Personally, I'm more apt to read a monthly blog because there is so much information out there and I have to pick and choose. So, monthly gives me more time to read and digest it. Plus, if more research and thought can be put into a blog to answer relevant questions in the market then it will help more people. Also, to me, less can mean more. In this case, less posts but more value in each post. FOR EXAMPLE: In my business as a fractional executive and sales leader this means less risk for the company to commit to a full-time position. Which equals more value because of the targeted objectives are met in a fraction of the time each week. So, drop your comments on the blogging frequency below and let's help each other do SEO well, serve more people and grow our businesses! 👇 #SEOStrategy #BlogStrategy #InformationOverload

  • Always remember this. You play to win the game! As a former college and professional athlete turned business executive this concept and interview rant resonates more now than ever. After all, it's obvious that athlete's compete to win games. At least, most of the time. Even though, Herme Edwards felt the need to defended this concept in an interview in 2002 after their team blew a lead in the 4th quarter to lose to the Cleveland Browns, which brought their record to 2-5 at the time. 👉 Then they went on to win the division after this --> Check out this full clip if you want the full interview. However, it's much harder to keep businesses focused on "winning the game" in the marketplace because it's so easy for people to become complacent and just show up for a paycheck. We have to understand and instill this concept in our teams that our business is in a competition everyday! There are competitors trying to beat you and drive you out of business. So, this means you must have a mindest of continual improvement. ✳️ Every day strive to get at least 1% better and your business will "win the game" in the marketplace more days than it loses. Especially because a lot of businesses don't believe there is a game to win in business. You will have the competitive advantage. What's hard about keeping your business focused on continual improvement ? I would love to hear your thoughts! 👇 #ContinualImprovement #BusinessMotivation #BusinessWins

  • What comes to mind when you hear this word? Accountability... It's a necessary concept, however somewhere along the way it's become a very loaded term with a strong negative connotation. Last week I was invited by Rachel Schell to join her latest group conversation on her regular RAS Personalized Solutions Leadership Development event to lead a discussion on accountability and how to empower others. We had a great group discussion and here were some of the comments: ❌ Leadership has abused the concept of accountability. ❌ Accountability seems to be more one-sided lately. ❌ It's just an excuse to blame others for problems. Then we focused on the what healthy accountability is: ✳️ Willingness to take ownership of responsibilities. ✳️ Mutual accountability that wants to work as a team. ✳️ Accountability needs to be modeled and inspired, not forced. Here were my suggestions to redeem the concept of accountability: 👉 Always take ownership by looking to be a part of the solutions NOT adding to the problems. 👉 Look to serve others and be coachable so that you can inspire people to a greater level of ownership instead of looking for a "scape goat." So, let's keep the conversation going. What do you think? Drop your comments below. I would love to hear your thoughts. #HealthyAccountability #MutualAccountability #ServantLeadership

  • Managing financial risk in our business is a constant battle. I get it. So, what can we do about it? One way is to think about using 1099 contractors Instead of hiring full-time employees. It's a cost-effective way to bring in the expertise you need without the full-time expense, allowing your business to stay flexible and lean. ✳️ Try This: Take a close look at your current operations. Identify areas where 1099 contractors can step in. It's not always the right fit but it is worth finding a good mix. Staying nimble and ready for anything is key to managing financial risk, especially in this crazy market and economy that we are in right now. I believe you can maintain high profit margins, and drive sustainable growth no matter what the market conditions are if you take a great stewardship approach, stay creative and don't think you have to throw money at a problem. How are you managing financial risk these days in your business? Drop your comments below and let's discuss it. 👇 #BusinessResilience #FractionalLeadership #SmartHiring

  • When it comes to listening to others on your team. Does this movie scene describe you? I think we've all been there. I know I have, often. Nodding like a bobblehead but not engaged and or caring about what's being said. Why do we want to fix this approach? 1️⃣ It will help strengthen relationships by building trust. 2️⃣ It will empower our teams to work together better and get more done! ✳️ Here's a quick tip to start doing this well. Ask questions and really seek to understand what's being said by repeating it back to the person to ensure it's correct. Don't just start defending yourself or giving a solution. We all want to be heard, first. Stephen Covey nailed it when he said, "Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply." • Why invest in developing a great culture to grow your business? It may be obvious, but on the other hand... It may seem unnecessary to focus on building a great teamwork business culture. However, it’s crucial for success. Just like in sports, having a great plan without motivated players leads to failure. Business is a team effort, and Peter Drucker famously said, "Culture eats strategy for breakfast." Without a positive, intentional culture, even the best strategies WILL fail. ✳️ So, invest in your people, build trust, and they’ll execute your plan, leading to business growth. That's a win-win teamwork culture! I want to hear your thoughts on culture. Drop them below 👇 #culture #leadership #businessgrowth

  • Think sales alone are the key to growth? Think again. True growth demands a strong operational foundation. Here’s how to build real, sustainable growth: 1. Optimize Profit Margins: Stop obsessing over sales figures. High revenue is meaningless if your profit margins are shrinking. Control costs, refine your pricing strategy, and improve efficiency. 2. Strengthen Systems and Processes: Sales without strong systems lead to chaos. Develop clear SOPs, automate tasks with technology, invest in staff training, and ensure your infrastructure can handle growth. Consistency and scalability are the real game-changers. 3. Enhance Cash Flow Management: Sales boosts can strain your cash flow. Forecast accurately, implement efficient invoicing, manage expenses wisely, and maintain cash reserves. Healthy cash flow is essential for sustaining growth and navigating tough times. Sales might make headlines, but they don’t guarantee success if there is no plan to execute with excellence. ✳️ Focus on building a resilient, efficient, and profitable business foundation. Expand wisely and sustainably for long-term success. What are your thoughts or experience with the illusion of business growth through an increase in sales and/or gross revenue? 👇 #BusinessGrowth #Operations #SustainableSuccess #ProfitMargins
