"After heavy rains, Poland is facing catastrophic flooding, as we are used to in Slovenia. Evacuations and rescue operations are underway in several cities, and flooding is threatening many areas. Life writes many different stories. One week, it's the celebration of the 30th edition of Festiwal Górski im. Andrzeja Zawady w Lądku Zdroju. Next, it’s hard to believe what the water has done to the same town 😔 From Friday, 13 September, a #flood wave passed through #LądekZdrój, destroying bridges, streets, buildings and everything in its path. Iga Świątek appeals for support for flood victims❗ She stepped in to raise awareness, sharing a fundraiser on her Instagram Stories to support flood victims in her home country, Poland. ‘The damage is unbelievable, a lot of people lost everything and there are massive funds needed to help them’ Iga wrote on Instagram Story. Join Iga and help those affected by the floods!  👉 4fund.com/flood The fundraiser is organised by Polski Czerwony Krzyż, which is actively providing aid in collaboration with local authorities and rescue teams. They are working tirelessly to provide aid where it is needed most. For several days, they have been delivering meals, water, hygiene packs and blankets to locals cut off by damaged infrastructure and providing logistical support to emergency services.
