About us
5G-IANA is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 10101642. (H2020-ICT-41-2020: 5G innovations for verticals with third party services) 5G-IANA aims at providing an open 5G experimentation platform, on top of which third party experimenters (i.e., SMEs) in the Automotive-related 5G-PPP vertical will have the opportunity to develop, deploy and test their services. An Automotive Open Experimental Platform (AOEP) will be specified, as the whole set of hardware and software resources that provides the compute and communication/transport infrastructure as well as the management and orchestration components, coupled with an enhanced NetApp Toolkit tailored to the Automotive sector.

👏 The I-SENSEGroup/ICCS team successfully hosted the Special Session "From 5G to 6G Support for CAM (5G6GCAM)" on Tuesday, 04 June in Antwerp, Belgium, during the 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit! 💡 Chaired by Konstantinos Katsaros, this session delved into the significant advancements and future directions from #5G to #6G within the Connected and Automated Mobility (#CAM) domain. The session commenced with a keynote speech by Jorge Pereira from the European Commission, who serves as the Project Officer for all hosted #5GPPP Projects. The presentations provided valuable insights into the connectivity challenges and opportunities from the perspective of leading EU projects within the #CCAM community, including our team's CCAM flagship projects 5G-IANA, PoDIUM Project, and ENVELOPE Project. Additionally, the session showcased other prominent projects such as the 5G-Blueprint Project, #Guide, and TARGET-X - all playing a key role in shaping the future of CAM technologies in Europe and beyond.
