On this Date in Northmen History: On 14 October 2011, the 92nd Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) conducted their activation ceremony at Fort Bragg, N.C. Lieutenant Colonel Brian Ebert and Command Sergeant Major Jimmy Cassel were the original command team. Present were many members of the 2nd Civil Affairs Company. The 92nd Civil Affairs Battalion (Special Operations) (Airborne) became the 1st team to repeat as the Friends of Civil Affairs (FOCA) Around the World Run largest team with 63 runners. The Northmen will receive a $500 Sol’s Arcade + Taproom Gift Card. Additionally, the Northmen placed 1st, 2nd, & 3rd overall in the race. ICYMI 🗣 A/92 celebrated their return from deployment with a Smith Lake family day. The outgoing Commander MAJ Nosenchuck and 1SG Reed, in a heartfelt gesture, handed out awards and plaques for returning Soldiers and Soldiers leaving the unit, acknowledging their unwavering commitment. The event also included resource briefs from ACS, the Red Cross, MWR, the unit Chaplain, and Child & Youth Services. #Northmen
