💙Make a Difference at https://lnkd.in/evp_dRA 💜 💙On Oct. 22, 2024, A CHILDHOOD FOR CHILDREN, Inc. distributed hygiene kits (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and deodorant) to students at Lovell Elementary School, a Title I school in Apopka with a poverty rate of 72%!!! Since we began our partnership with Lovell Elementary School in 2023, we have distributed more than 7,800 hygiene items. But it is not about giving-n-going. We teach the children healthy hygiene habits, and how they should use and care for the items received. We encourage and empower the children, we share love, high-fives, & hugs!! ( https://lnkd.in/eGvnyXnN..) ❤️Our Ambassador Rashmi Modi shared her time, love, and encouragement with the girls. She educated the children on how to care for the items. The hygiene items included packets of sanitary pads so that the girls have period security! Young boys travel to Jaipur for promised jobs, only to fall into traps of slavery, physical and sexual exploitation, and worse. In June, EIGHTEEN boys were rescued from child trafficking. They are now safe at Bal Basera. The trauma these boys endure is unimaginable. Bal Basera is where the healing starts with their well-being and dignity restored.
