We’re committed to bringing the data from the front line to the palm of your hand with our “Your Driving Costs” study conducted by AAA researchers! 📆 AAA's “Your Driving Costs” study reveals that maintenance alone averages $1,425 annually, varying by vehicle type. This includes regular oil changes and air filter replacement, as well as repairs and milestone maintenance. ⛽📉 Fuel ranks as the second-highest expense, while depreciation is the highest, with drivers losing about $4,538 per year on depreciation alone. Crashes are no accident in staged collisions 🎭💥 Staged collisions are as dangerous as regular crashes, yet scammers use them to file fraudulent insurance claims. 🦅👋 Common tactics include the "swoop & squat," where a scammer cuts you off and suddenly stops, causing a rear-end collision, and the "drive down" or "wave-on," where a scammer waves you through a stop, then hits you and denies waving. To avoid these scams, stay alert, avoid tailgating, consider a dash camera, and know if you’re at risk.
