🎉 Congratulations to the 21 recipients of the 2024 CVS Health/AACP Community Pharmacy Health Equity Award! The goal of the scholarship program, which was funded by the CVS Health Foundation, is to support students who face financial barriers in pursuit of #pharmacy education including, but not limited to, those who identify as an underrepresented minority student, a student with a disability, or a student with previous or current military service. The award recognizes their exceptional leadership, dedication to advancing the profession of pharmacy, and commitment to improving patient care in underserved communities. Each recipient exemplifies the impact that pharmacists can have in promoting #healthequity. “AACP is grateful for the continued support of CVS Health as we work together toward fostering a diverse pharmacy workforce that will advance the profession and improve #patientcare,” said Lee Vermeulen, B.S.Pharm., M.S., FCCP, FFIP, AACP Executive Vice President and CEO.

“If you look at people who are driving innovation in pharmacy schools, a lot of people have come from this program," says Dr. Warren Rose of #AACPALFP. “It’s a chance to grow as a professional, an academic, and a pharmacist.”
Associate Professor Warren Rose has been chosen for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Academic Leadership Fellows Program, joining a prestigious national cohort of 35 academic pharmacists for a year of leadership development. “If you look at people who are driving innovation in pharmacy schools, a lot of people have come from this program," says Rose, including Professors Mary Hayney and Andrea Porter (PharmD '06). "Alumni also will be taking part in our events: the White Coat Ceremony, Commencement, our Awards Ceremony and similar activities," says Amanda Padwa, administrative coordinator for student affairs at Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. "We think there is so much our alumni can offer us and vice versa that it just made sense for us to form an official group of representatives to lead those efforts… We want to offer them networking and recreational events with current students, as well as other alumni. Our plans are also to maintain a database of employment and research opportunities for them." #PharmacyEducation | #StudentAffairs | #PharmacySchool
