Each month we're highlighting one of our Collegiate Faculty Members. This month's spotlight is on...Kristy "TUCC" Tucciarone, PhD, Program Chair & Professor, Advertising and Public Relations at Lindenwood University. Check out the interview! Want to be featured in next month’s Faculty Spotlight? Fill out the questionnaire: https://lnkd.in/eFCmGXDJ Interview with Kristy Tucciarone: How long have you been a faculty advisor? 18 years What inspired you to get involved with AAF? I believe every university offering a degree in Advertising should have an AAF Student Chapter. It provides students with invaluable opportunities to engage with the industry before graduation, ensuring they are career-ready from day one. How do you incorporate AAF into your work with students? I run a program focused on delivering a highly experiential curriculum. This includes campaigns-based competition experiences and direct industry engagement. Each class starts with a relevant story from SmartBriefs, demonstrating how what students learn connects to real brands in the industry. Participation in NSAC is also a requirement for degree completion. What’s a little-known fact about you? I have a passion for Corvettes! To celebrate turning 50, I bought my first Corvette. My car’s theme is “O’Boy,” reflecting my lively personality! Can you share a memorable moment or success story from your time as an advisor? I take great pride in my students’ achievements, especially when Lindenwood won the Mosaic Award for our Spotify campaign, “Hear the World from Your Spot.” It’s moments like these that truly highlight the impact we can have in the industry. Is there anything else you’d like to share with the AAF community? Being part of the AAF community elevates our degree program from good to great. There’s no greater joy than watching my students, whom I affectionately call my “kiddos,” leave the nest and thrive as industry superstars.
