Can a Low-Fidelity Arthroscopic Simulator Improve Technical Expertise in Performing Temporomandibular Joint Arthroscopy? A recent study published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery shows a low-fidelity simulator (LFS) used in TMJ arthroscopy training can significantly improve surgical skills. Residents who trained with the LFS had better scores on the Arthroscopic Surgical Skill Evaluation Tool (ASSET) than those who didn’t. The study reports this cost-effective tool could help bridge the gap between classroom learning and operating room practice, making TMJ arthroscopy training more accessible. https://lnkd.in/gEZ4qDMJ
