“I recently celebrated over eight years of accident-free driving with our ABF Atlanta, GA service center. I received my first million-mile award and came in third at the Georgia TDC in the flatbed class earlier this year! I knew I wanted to be in the trucking industry from a very early age. Growing up next to I–75 and seeing all the trucks go by my house every day, I knew one day I wanted to drive one of those trucks. In 1994, I got my CDL license, and before working for ABF, I ran through all 48 contiguous states and 9 Canadian provinces. One of the highlights of my ABF career was representing ABF at the National Truck Driving Championship in Indianapolis last year. I won first place in Georgia in the flatbed class! Another highlight was being nominated and then accepted to the ABF Road Team. It didn't hit me initially, but I'm on the Road Team during ABF's 100th Anniversary. To me, that was an honor! I like to spend time with my family when I'm not driving. I enjoy anything auto racing, and I love to travel with my wife when we get the chance.” – Joey Martel

📣 Three cheers for 3-axle competitor Loren Hatfield who will be representing Team Arkansas at the National Truck Driving Championships this week! Loren is one of the most decorated competitors to participate in our state championship, and he is the first driver from Arkansas to ever achieve 10 trips to the national level. Over his 30-year career as a professional truck driver, he has driven for ABF Freight for the past 25 years. Hatfield is a role model in the industry, having served on the ABF Road Team, the Arkansas Road Team and America’s Road Team. #NTDC2024
