By helping employees learn about the STRESS Response will show them what they are going through at any given time of the day. Whether there is an actual threat or the computer is acting up the body does not know the difference. It is important to have the tools in place to help the body work through the STRESS Response to bring it back to balance. “Proper Tools For the Job” Above the Horizon Wellness believes that education about the STRESS Response will not only make a healthier employee, but will also make a more productive attentive worker. In turn your company by having a healthy work force you will also save on disability and compensation premiums. The list is endless and benefits are great by investing in your employee’s overall wellness. This program doesn’t exist to give you MORE information; it exists to give you CURATED information. Susan's career and achievements are truly inspiring. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence are evident in every aspect of her work. It's clear that she has made a significant impact on the industry and her colleagues. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Susan for her efforts in achieving certification. Your contributions are invaluable to the Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MiHR) and the Centre of Training Excellence in Mining (CTEM) Congratulations, Susan, on all of your accomplishments! It’s an acknowledgement of all the hard work I have accomplished, showing that if you’re willing to put in the time, it pays off. I have it posted in my office with pride. My journey consists of 26 years at McArthur River. During those years, I’ve obtained my journey person electrical red seal ticket as well as my hoisting certificate. Originally, I decided to apply for the hoisting position as an electrician, believing it would give me more tools in my toolbox to better assist with troubleshooting and maintenance on the hoist. I soon realized I loved operating. The challenges of slinging equipment underground and working with a great maintenance crew to ensure the hoist's operation was maintained and safe for hauling workers underground were incredibly rewarding. Without a hoist, we wouldn’t be able to bring our product to the surface or transport workers safely underground and back to the surface. I’m a maintenance supervisor now, and in a few days, an announcement will be made that I am moving to General Supervisor Site Services.
