Included in the visit was a trip to the university's SDG mural. Part of the Philadelphia SDG campaign and Mural Project, this mural represents Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, as well as Temple University's commitment to the #SDGs UNAI thanks member institution Temple University for hosting this exciting event, and wishes all students future success.

Those living in poverty are at risk for institutional maltreatment, denying them fundamental human rights including education. This International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we must address these risks and act together for more just, peaceful and inclusive societies.
Living in dignity and free from poverty is a fundamental human right. Yet, if current trends continue, 575 million people will still be living in extreme poverty by 2030. “Eradicating poverty is an essential foundation for humane, dignified societies that leave no one behind,” said UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Thursday’s International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. “Let’s re-commit to making poverty history."
