As part of the UNCF Lighted Pathways internship program, our students have the opportunity to participate in numerous enrichment activities for knowledge sharing and networking throughout the summer. Most recently, the cohort was hosted by Geode Capital Management for a data analysis workshop with Bloomberg and Babson College, where they had a chance to meet industry and academic professionals and learn about the latest in investment data research. Thank you to our Lighted Pathways partners for making this happen!

About us
Acadian Asset Management is a global, systematic investment manager. Founded in 1986, Acadian is head-quartered in Boston, with affiliates in London, Singapore, and Sydney. We find our edge in the convergence of talented people, rich data, and powerful tools – all underpinned by a collegial culture with an ardent appetite for continuous research and healthy debate. Building on the idea that markets are inefficient, we were among the first firms in the world to apply data and technology to the systematic evaluation of global investments. With over 35 years of data-driven insights, we manage equity and credit strategies intended to deliver active returns and alternative strategies designed to deliver absolute, uncorrelated results. Our sustainable investing capabilities provide a platform for both client-specific solutions and a cutting-edge approach to engagement. We were excited to join Institutional Investor in Newport, RI last week for the Chief Marketer Institute Content Summit, part of II's annual Investor Week. Acadian CMO Ted Noon joined a panel to discuss the nuances of managing a global team across varying messaging, distribution, and market needs. Another great event and opportunity to connect with the II community.

Should Elon be given total freedom if shareholders consent? That's not how the law works, says Owen A. Lamont in the latest installment of Owenomics.

Earlier this month, members of the Acadian London team visited The Honeypot Children's Charity Hampshire house, lending their hands to prepare the property for the summer arrival of young carers. 1 in 12 young children in the UK spends up to 50 hours a week looking after a loved one who has a disability or long-term illness. Often unsupported and overwhelmed, their school experience is impacted, they miss making friendships, and they struggle with their mental or physical health. The Hampshire house provides a nurturing and enriching space for children to begin their respite break, create some happy childhood memories, and connect with others who are experiencing similar circumstances. Acadian UK is proud to be a longtime supporter of this mission.

We’re excited to kick off our third summer as a UNCF Lighted Pathways partner, committed to increasing representation in our industry and helping Boston develop a more robust pipeline of diverse talent coming from HBCUs and other minority-serving institutions. We’d like to officially welcome our Lighted Pathways interns, Fiyi Oladapo and Nyla Egerton, to Acadian for the summer – we look forward to all that’s ahead. And a very special shoutout to UNCF Lighted Pathways alum and new Acadian employee Olivia Broussard, we’re thrilled to have you joining us on a full-time basis!

Team Acadian recently participated in the annual Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound School 4k Trail Run. All proceeds from the event go directly to supporting the island’s education center, providing fully funded, immersive, and experiential outdoor learning to Boston Public School students. Congrats to our Acadian runners, and shout out to Julia Khan, 3rd place women’s finisher!
