🚀 Exciting News from the European Innovation Council! 🌍 The European Commission has just adopted the EIC 2025 Work Programme, unlocking over €1.4 billion in funding opportunities aimed at strategic technologies and scaling innovative companies. Here’s a quick overview of what’s in store: 🔍 Funding Schemes: EIC Pathfinder (€262 million): Grants up to €4 million for multi-disciplinary teams tackling visionary research that could lead to groundbreaking technology. EIC Transition (€98 million): Grants up to €2.5 million to transform research results into innovation, supporting follow-ups from previous EIC Pathfinder and Horizon projects. EIC Accelerator (€634 million): Grants below €2.5 million and investments from €0.5 to €10 million for startups and SMEs with the potential to disrupt markets. The European Innovation Council just received an incredible 1,211 full applications from start-ups and SMEs for the October 3rd EIC Accelerator cut-off — our highest number ever! Together, these companies are requesting a total budget of €8.875 billion, highlighting the immense demand for funding and support in the European innovation landscape. 🌍 Notably, 74% of applicants (898 companies) requested blended finance, showing the continued need for grants combined with equity investments. 👏 We’re also proud to see that 32% of these proposals come from women-led companies (CEO, CTO, or CSO), marking significant strides towards gender diversity in innovation leadership. Applicants come from 35 different countries, with the largest numbers from Germany, Israel, and France. This is a fantastic step forward for European innovation.
