About us
For more than thirty years Accessible Archives has selected, found, digitized and delivered unique and exclusive content previously available only in microformat, hard copy form or as images. Accessible Archives collections are rekeyed and structured to make them easy to cite and research. Systems that use OCR struggle with smaller and older fonts, and unstructured data which compromises their research and text data mining. Meticulous manual rekeying makes searching over 30% more accurate than OCR engines, and structured data allows exciting new forms of text data mining. In June 2023 Accessible Archives became part of Coherent Digital. We’re in the process of migrating the collections to the award winning History Commons platform, and are planning exciting new improvements and new collections for customers.
