About us

The ACE Mentor Program prepares high school students for careers in design and construction. Our mission is to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering and construction through mentoring to support their continued advancement in the industry. Founded in 1994 by a group of leading architects, contractors and engineers in New York City, the program has served over 65,000 students nationwide and over 12,000 students in New York alone. Today more than 9,000 students and 3,600 mentors participate in ACE in 37 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Three-quarters of ACE students come from minority and underserved communities. The ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York has grown to 51 mentors teams throughout New York City, Long Island and Westchester. ACE GNY has 56 dedicated Board members from leading design and construction firms, under the leadership of the Chairperson Marcos Diaz Gonzalez, Executive Vice President, STV. Inc.
