Aclarity
Waste Treatment and Disposal
Aclarity makes dealing with PFAS hassle free. We help landfills and wastewater treatment plants destroy PFAS forever.
About us
Aclarity’s mission is to destroy PFAS forever. The current PFAS removal and disposal methods separate and concentrate PFAS, but do not sufficiently remove PFAS from our environment and therefore do not fully address the problem. The status quo management of PFAS is failing the public and cannot prevail. Our Aclarity electrochemical oxidation system destroys PFAS chemicals in water and liquid waste. We pass concentrated PFAS streams, like raw landfill leachate, through our system and destroy PFAS compounds to greater than 99%.

Have you seen the latest opinion piece from Aclarity CEO Julie Bliss Mullen? Agree/disagree? 🤔 What are your thoughts on her points? 💭
We see more and more regualtory agencies regulating PFAS in drinking water. While I understand this from a public health perspective, it's not solving the PFAS problem and we should be pushing to accelerate PFAS treatment and regulation at the source. I'd love to hear your thoughts and continue this discussion in the comments.

Great to see this Waste Advantage Magazine 💡👍 Arlington residents have answered the call to feed the green machines deployed to collect food scraps and food-soiled paper to divert them from trash bins. To date, more than 11,000 pounds of food waste has been collected since the launch of the Solid Waste Bureau’s pilot program in early July, which seeks to expand the County’s ability to compost food scraps and prevent waste.

In Westminster, MA, a lawsuit 🏛️ has been filed involving alleged PFAS contamination caused by the improper disposal of PFAS-laced materials at Massachusetts Natural Fertilizer. Several defendants, including manufacturing sites, are accused of knowingly dumping contaminated waste, which led to high PFAS levels in local wells. The lawsuit, unique for using the RICO statute typically applied to criminal organizations, claims a conspiracy to avoid regulatory compliance. Plaintiffs are seeking damages for health risks and property value losses. Defendants deny the allegations, and a jury trial is requested.⚖️

The European Commission has implemented new restrictions under the EU’s REACH legislation to limit the use of undecafluorohexanoic acid (PFHxA) and related PFAS substances due to their significant health and environmental risks 🌍⚠️ These measures will ban PFHxA in textiles, food packaging, cosmetics, and other products 🧥🍽💄, though some sectors like semiconductors and green hydrogen technologies are exempt. The restrictions follow a scientific assessment and will take effect 20 days after publication, with transition periods ranging from 18 months to five years This action is part of the EU's broader effort to reduce PFAS pollution under its Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, which could lead to a universal PFAS ban in the future 🔄
