October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to reflect on the personal impact this disease has on countless lives. At ACMS Northwest, we are deeply committed to supporting those affected by breast cancer, including our colleagues, friends, and family members. On October 23, our team wore pink to honor the brave folks who have battled breast cancer. For many of us, this cause is personal. We wear pink to remember loved ones we’ve lost, to support those currently fighting, and to celebrate the survivors who inspire us with their strength and resilience. Breast cancer touches so many lives, and by raising awareness, we hope to encourage early detection and support ongoing research. Let’s continue to stand together, share our stories, and support one another in the fight against breast cancer.

In celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we invite everyone to explore the rich history of this day and the Indigenous tribes in your area. The Portland Metro area is situated on the ancestral lands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and numerous other tribes who lived along the Columbia River. We are sharing an Indigenous Peoples’ Day perspective from Randy’L Teton, Forest Service employee and tribal citizen of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe: https://lnkd.in/gxEnZPCq.

We want to highlight the work of the incredibly talented Casey Overcamp, of Stratoscape Corp. Casey documents the progress of projects by taking beautiful overhead photos. While he’s on site, he also captures portraits and action shots that we use in our marketing materials. Casey is wonderful to work with and we are so appreciative of his photography skills! You can see some of the beautiful drone footage he captured recently here: https://lnkd.in/gq9NmaGb

On this 23rd anniversary of September 11th, 2001, we at ACMS Northwest wanted to take a moment to acknowledge this significant day in our history. It is a time for us to reflect on the events that unfolded, honor the lives lost, and recognize the resilience and unity that emerged in the aftermath. Today, we remember the bravery of the first responders, the strength of the survivors, and the solidarity of communities coming together in the face of adversity. It is a reminder of the importance of compassion, support, and standing together during challenging times. We encourage everyone to take a moment of silence to honor those who were affected by this tragedy.

What a fantastic ceremony today celebrating A Better Red! The Better Red project extends MAX Red Line west to serve 10 more stations and improves schedule reliability for the entire MAX system. We are honored to be a part of this phenomenal project. Big congrats to TriMet and all the amazing folks working together to make this happen!
