    This Thursday, October 17th at 6pm, join us for “Microplastics & Astroturf: Not so beautiful beauty products & problematic athletic fields.” 🌱 This headliner is part of the SCU 11th biannual turn Climate Crisis Awareness & Action week. It will feature a panel of three experts who will discuss the negative climate, environmental, and health impacts of artificial turf and microplastics that come from the turf.     Thursday, October 10, 7 to 8 p.m. “Fly the Sustainable Skies of SFO.” On Zoom. Presented by the Citizens Environmental Council (CEC) and cosponsored by 350 Silicone Valley, Acterra, Citizens' Climate Lobby, Peninsula Clean Energy and Sustainable San Mateo County. Erin Cooke, SFO’s Sustainability and Resilience Director, and Courtney Carroux, the airport’s Net Zero Lead, will describe steps SFO is taking to reach its net zero carbon goal by 2030, how it’s helping stakeholders reach their goals and how passengers can travel more sustainably.
