Thanks so much to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for visiting Crafton Towers today to share the great news that ACTION-Housing has been awarded $6.1M in Green and Resilient Retrofit Funding to do a green renovation of Crafton Towers. This building was constructed in 1974 and this funding will enable us to undertake the first major renovation in fifty years. We can't wait to improve the quality of life for our seniors while making the building more energy efficient and climate resilient!
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Today, HUD joined ACTION-Housing staff at Crafton Towers to announce a $6M award from HUD's Green and Resilient Retrofit Program to increase energy and water efficiency, reduce climate pollution, generate renewable energy, reduce housing operating costs, promote the use of green building materials, and improve the quality of life for residents. Crafton Towers is one of ACTION-Housing's oldest and largest buildings. This was part of $69 million awarded today across 10 states. Congratulations to ACTION-Housing, Inc. staff who worked hard on these funding proposals. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eGd-7C_T
