Terry Pirovolakis, 44, spent his life savings and years of research to save his six-year-old son, Michael, from the rare disease Spastic Paraplegia 50 (SPG50). Affecting fewer than 100 people worldwide, SPG50 leads to paralysis and often death before age 30. Refusing to accept the grim prognosis, Pirovolakis sought expert help and secured approval for a gene therapy trial in December. The treatment, now in its second phase, offers hope for Michael and others battling this devastating illness. His relentless dedication is a moving story of a father's love and determination. ❤️ #actofhumanity #humanity #help #kindness #donate
