After moving from her home country of Brazil to Canada to pursue a specialization in cardiology, Dr. Ananda Pires shares that she struggled with depression. "I had just moved countries, I left my family and friends behind, I faced my first Canadian winter (it is no joke!) and I was working 80-100 hours per week." With therapy, medication, support from friends and supervisors, and time dedicated to hobbies and self-care, Dr. Pires was able to improve her mental health. She explains that letting go of self-imposed expectations is vital to finding happiness and balance between your life and career. ➡️Read the full interview: https://bit.ly/3XXZRl0
