National Hire A Veteran Day aims to inspire employers to recruit and hire veterans by recognizing the unique skills and values that former soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen bring to the workforce. Roughly 200,000 military members retire or separate from the armed services every year, according to the Department of Labor. These veterans bring competitive skills to civilian jobs, along with core values military service cultivates: dedication, teamwork, good communication and pride in getting work done. But, finding and competing for civilian positions can be challenging for transitioning veterans. #womenveterans #hireaveteran #whataveteranlookslike #pennsylvaniaveterans #pittsburghveterans #veteran

Adagio Health staff members from various departments came together at Westmoreland County Community College for the Westmoreland County Department of Human Services Annual Resource Fair! Adagio Health partnered with DHS to provide guests with specialized health screenings, assistance in enrolling in our no-cost programs, and fresh produce alongside Westmoreland Food Bank. We screened 18 people, provided produce to over 30 people, and gave away almost all of our information materials. Thank you to everyone who attended and stopped by our tables. Our Adagio Health Greensburg Medical Office is located on Pellis Road. President and CEO BJ Leber accepted a Women Veterans Day recognition award for our own Sandy Soloski from Governor Josh Shapiro and the PA Commission on Women. She received Sandy's recognition from Governor Shapiro and Brigadier General Laura McHugh. Sandy was honored for her service in the Army, the Peace Corps and her career devoted to community mental health, drug & alcohol programs and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. At Adagio Health, she has been a leader in our commitment to serving women veterans. Thanks to Sandy, for her service and for all she has done for our community.
