Earlier this summer, we hosted dietitians, bloggers, chefs and influencers as part of the Beef Experience Tour. Our team enjoyed visiting about the feedyard portion of the production cycle and sharing a tour of our operations.   Thank you to Nebraska Beef Council for including us; we love helping to educate consumers and influencers on how the beef production cycle works!

Meet one of our #AdamsInterns…Makenna Dornhoff, from University of Nebraska-Lincoln This summer, Makenna had the opportunity to work in a variety of our cattle operations areas, including feeding, processing and cattle health, as a Cattle Operations Intern! Take a look at what she enjoyed most about her internship: “The people! I have really enjoyed forming relationships with people in all of the different departments. They make learning & doing my job that much easier!”

Our Projects and Maintenace teams recently attended Basic Motor Controls training at MPCC Broken Bow Campus. A huge thanks to Jeff Evans and Mid-Plains Community College for another great training!

This summer, Sophie had the opportunity to work in a variety of our cattle operations areas, including feeding, processing and cattle health, as a Cattle Operations Intern! Take a look at what she enjoyed most about her internship. “I am so thankful for the opportunity to be at Adams this summer. The knowledge and experience I have gained is unmatched. Throughout my time here, I have most enjoyed continuously learning and being part of the modern and sustainable agriculture practices Adams has in place. Additionally, I am beyond grateful for the people I have met and created wonderful friendships with!“

Donut worry, it’s the weekend! A huge thanks to DonutNV Central Nebraska for serving up delicious donuts and drinks for our second Food Truck Friday!

Last month, Scott Adams hosted Lunch & Learns for our employees, where he shared how we currently use drones, as well as plan to use them throughout our operations for analyzing pen surfaces, farming, commodity piles, pond levels, counting cattle, surveying, as well as project management. Here at Adams, we host Lunch and Learns throughout the year on different topics, presented to the company by an Adams employee. A huge thanks to Scott for sharing your knowledge!

Meet one of our #AdamsInterns…Morgan Yoder, from University of Florida This summer, Morgan had the opportunity to work in our cattle operations as a Processing Intern! Take a look at what she enjoyed most about her internship. “I have really enjoyed learning about Adams as a company and all of the opportunities that I have been given while working here! The atmosphere and people are amazing and made this experience even better than I could have even expected!”

As summer comes to a close, we find it bittersweet to say goodbye to our amazing team of operations interns: Cambree, Makenna, Teigen, Keri, Morgan, and Sophie! As we bid farewell, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks for their hard work and passion in feeding the world high quality, safe and sustainable beef! Over the next week, we’re excited to feature each of our incredible interns and share the highlights of their experiences over the past few months.

Congratulations to Ted Haumont, Feed Truck Driver, who was chosen as our Cattle Operations Employee of the Quarter! Ted was selected for his positive attitude, quality work, care for the cattle, as well as doing an excellent job training new employees. Thank you for your great work, Ted!
