We’re still buzzing with excitement from the grand opening of our very first Adelante Pharmacy! 🎉 Earlier this week, we celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a vibrant community health fair, showcasing the many services Adelante offers. The celebration included remarks from CEO Pedro Cons, Chief Clinical Operations Officer Bill Rosenfeld, State Rep. Steve Montengro, incoming Adelante Board Chairman Michael Ellenby, City of Goodyear Councilmember Sheri Lauritano and Karyn Swindell of Maxor. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re sharing the powerful story of our very own Dr. Shireen Allen-Lawson, a Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP) and our Regional Medical Director, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023. During a visit with her grandchildren, she felt an unusual sensation in her right breast, prompting her to schedule a mammogram. Dr. Lawson’s journey from diagnosis to treatment was full of challenges, but with the support of her team at Adelante Healthcare and her family she persevered with resilience. Now cancer-free, she’s more passionate than ever about early detection and self-advocacy.
